USP of Shiva Kawach, a unique technology, is that it successfully protects any target from the most potent force of an explosion or any impact, namely, the pressure wave, by comprehensively abating its destructive force, blunting the tip of the spear, so to say. Since pressure waves travel at upto 3-4 Mach, they are obviously the first ones to arrive at any target and wreck havoc, much before the arrival of any projectile. Shiva Kawach becomes not only the first line but also an unsurmountable defence against blast.
Additionally, Shiva Kawach has been developed by keeping in mind the most minimal weight /volume penalty so as to keep mobile targets agile while providing exemplary protection.
Defence vehicles are prime targets of IED blasts in any conflict zone. IED is the weapon of choice of any aggressor as it causes maximum damage and fatality and can be detonated remotely. Shiva Kawach is ideally suited for such a situation. The product does not affect mobility of the vehicle because of its low weight/volume penalty.
The present MPV’s are very heavy and prohibitively expensive to make, because of which their role is severely restricted in real battle situations. Shiva Kawach, on the other hand, extends the luxury of designing/developing and deploying an Ultra-Light Mine Protected Vehicle without compromising with its agility, mobility or protective attributes.
Presently, anti-mine shoes are expensive, heavy, bulky, unwieldy and restricts the ability of combatants.
Owing to the compelling trade-off between usability and safety, most mine protection shoes available today are not a hundred percent mine proof. A very high percentage of anti-personnel mine encounters result in severe damage to the foot/leg, rendering the combatant ineffective while extracting additional penalty of engaging at least one other combatant in rescue.
Shiva Kawach allows to build a light weight anti-mine shoe that truly prevents injury due to anti-personal mine detonation.
Most of our expensive munitions, including missiles, sensitive electronics and critical components, arms & ammunitions and Command Centres are protected by fortified bunkers. To counter this, effective bunker buster bombs, capable of causing extensive damage because of shock waves they release upon impact have been pressed into service with devastating effect.
Shiva Kawach is tailor made to protect such fortifications from shock-wave impact and can be easily adapted to protect these invaluable assets at a fraction of the cost of present day efforts.
